Mission Reflection 4

A very joyful and blessed Easter to all!
We submit two images for your consideration. First, the beautiful cross in the Church of San Damiano, depicting the glorified Christ, before which Francis spent many hours in prayer:

Like any Christian, St. Francis was profoundly moved by the celebration of Easter. His devotion was spread to each “little Easter” throughout the rest of the year, every celebration of the Eucharist. He advised his brothers and sisters to avail themselves of this sacrament with humble and joyful hearts.
And secondly, this week’s mission reflection. This one is from Emily Ward, missioner in Cochabamba, Bolivia from January 2007 to December 2009.
