Together, we can put more missioners in the field than we have had in the past 10 years.
We are facing our biggest year ever! We will train, form, and support more than 20 lay missioners and volunteers and thus serve more people than ever…but the cost of mission is rising.
Your investment, when added to everyone else’s, makes it possible for the Franciscan-hearted to engage in impactful ministries around the world.
Here are just a few examples:
• Teach and nurture children at Valley of the Angels School in Guatemala who have been orphaned, abandonded, or live in poverty.
• Provide meals through the parish soup kitchen to people experiencing deep poverty in Savanna La Mar, Jamaica.
• Empower first-generation college students at Carmen Pampa University to be leaders in creatively addressing poverty in their home indigenous communities in rural Bolivia.
•Offer computer training and resume help for women experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC so that they can prepare for jobs.
