Meet the DC Service Corps
We are the DC Service Corps class of 2025-2026! We come from different places and backgrounds to join together in Washington, DC, for a year of service rooted in the Franciscan charism. Through various positions of service, we are building a foundation for a lifelong commitment to social activism and our Catholic faith.
DC Service Corps Members
Programs Associate, Franciscan Mission Service
David is from Abuja, Nigeria and comes to the DCSC from Philadelphia, where he completed his MA in Political Science at Villanova University. He received his BA from the Great Books program at St. John’s College in Santa Fe (go Axolotls) and taught school in Arizona with the Episcopal Service Corps. He is excited to be serving as the Programs Associate at FMS this year, supporting his fellow missioners and holding the door open for the future of the Service. He is excited to explore living in an ecumenical context guided by the Franciscan charism. In his free time he loves theater, jazz, screwball comedies, reading existentialist philosophy, cooking Nigerian food, origami, and re-cataloging his personal library.
Peace Coach, Little Friends for Peace
Sam was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Arlington, Virginia before attending Virginia Tech, where he majored in Sports Media and Analytics and doubled minored in Language Sciences and French. He has since served as a missionary intern with the Kinship Community Food Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked for Meadows Farms Nurseries in Northern Virginia. With the DC Service Corps, Sam will work as a Peace Coach with Little Friends for Peace. He is also looking forward to learning more about the Franciscan charism and his new housemates in Casa San Salvador. In his free time, Sam loves watching sports and movies, enjoys biking, reading, eating ice cream, and dry humor. Please pray for him during the upcoming year.
Development Associate, Franciscan Mission Service
Claire Bosch is from Western Springs, Illinois and recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame where she studied history and theology. She is very excited to serve as the Development Associate for FMS and to spend a year growing professionally while living in service and community. In her free time, Claire loves to read, watch old movies, and needlepoint.
Peace Coach, Little Friends for Peace
Brigid Dunn, originally from Carlinville, IL, recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Global Affairs and Arabic. During her time at FMS, she is very excited to live in an intentional community, grow in faith, and live out Franciscan values, specifically solidarity with the poor and oppressed. Brigid will be working at Little Friends for Peace. Brigid is excited for the opportunity to practice peace outside of an academic setting, and work with others to promote peace. Outside of work, Brigid enjoys long walks, reading, and spending time with friends. Brigid is very excited to explore all the museums and culture that D.C. has to offer!
Advocacy Associate, Franciscan Action Network
Claire Fisher, from northern New Jersey, recently graduated from Saint Bonaventure University with a degree in Communication, Social Justice & Advocacy and minors in theology and political science. Claire is excited to serve as the next Advocacy Associate for Franciscan Action Network, where she will create educational materials on bills and justice efforts, maintain partnerships with other nonprofits, and more. She is most drawn to FMS so she can pursue her passion for Catholic Social Thought and the Franciscan tradition, fueled by her undergraduate education and time in intentional community, Mt. Irenaeus. In her free time, Claire can be found writing, completing her 12-month nonfiction reading challenge, and taste testing lemonade. She cannot wait to be back in Washington, the city where she was born and lived for two years!
