Little Friends for Peace Program Associate

Erin Frances is a native of Courtland, Minnesota. She graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Indiana with a BS in Chemistry and Dartmouth College in New Hampshire with a Ph.D. in Chemistry. Erin Frances is excited to join the DC Service Corps as a program associate with Little Friends for Peace. There, she will be serving to counter violence and contribute to a worldwide culture of peace by sharing skills to prevent, resolve, and transform conflict with individuals, families, teams, and communities. She is looking forward to deepening her faith and living out a ministry of presence with those she encounters.

Food and Friends New Client Associate

Jarrett Murano is a recent graduate of the University of Lynchburg with a degree in Graphic Design. His ministry site is with Food and Friends, an organization that delivers healthy meals and groceries to individuals with chronic illnesses. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys gardening around the house.

Christ House Activities Coordinator

Matthew is from Tucson, Arizona. He graduated in 2022 from Ottawa University-Arizona with a BA in Exercise Science. He is serving as the Patient Activities Coordinator at Christ House during his time in the DC Service Corps. While there, he is working to coordinate activities for residents of the facility who are in the recovery process, while also fostering Franciscan values as a ministry of presence for those at the facility. In his free time, he enjoys reading and watching and playing various sports.

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Protection Counselor

Sam Goodyear serves a Protection Counselor for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). She is originally from New Jersey and graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a degree in sociology and international relations. Sam is passionate about advocacy and activism regarding human rights, especially regarding marginalized communities, and was drawn to Franciscan Mission Service's similar values. In her free time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities, traveling, relaxing at local coffee shops, experiencing new art, and meeting new people.
