Announcing New Interim Executive Director

Blog Headers 2023-24 (14)600

Dear FMS Family,

It is our honor to announce that the FMS Board of Directors voted to appoint Maggie Conley as FMS’s Interim Executive Director.

A long-time leader in the Catholic social justice world, Maggie will join FMS on January 16 to lead the organization alongside Associate Director Rose Hardwick and Director of Mission Integration Meghan Meros as we continue to serve our various ministry communities in the D.C. area and abroad.

Maggie comes to FMS most recently from the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, where she held the position of Justice Team Director. Maggie also previously held the role of Interim Program Director for Innovation at Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities as well as the twelve years in leadership at the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. We are confident that Maggie’s skillset and leadership will be invaluable to the FMS community as we begin this period of transition.

Please join us in welcoming Maggie to Franciscan Mission Service. We will be celebrating and honoring her at the re-commissioning Mass this coming month. We also thank Elizabeth Hughes for her tremendous dedication to the FMS family over the last several years. Liz truly demonstrated what it means to walk in the spirit of St. Francis.

Pax et Bonum!
