Tynicia Hendrix is from Plattsburgh, New York, and will serve as a Peace Team Program Associate with Little Friends for Peace through the DCSC program. She graduated from Siena University in May 2026, where she was involved with the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy as a Franciscan Fellow. It was through this experience that she was introduced to Franciscan Mission Service at a conference in Washington, D.C. in November 2025. She has a strong passion for service, volunteering in her community though soup kitchens and giveaways, and continuing that commitment abroad in Belgium by working with a Red Cross-affiliated group to deliver food to homeless shelters in the Brussels region. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing the violin, exercising, snowboarding, longboarding, hiking, and spending time with loved ones. She wanted to join Franciscan Mission Service to continue her journey of service, grow personally and spiritually, and build meaningful connections while serving others.
