Jessica Hernandez is from Anaheim, California and will be serving with DCSC as a Peace Coach with Little Friends for Peace. She graduated from University of California, Davis where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Communication and Political Science with a minor in Economics. Jessica is excited to return to D.C. after interning with Congressman Lou Correa (D-46), where she discovered her passion for public service and community engagement. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, Jessica is passionate about promoting equity, international development, and peacebuilding. She is called to simplicity and service while growing in solidarity with others. Outside of work and service, Jessica enjoys traveling, hiking, doing yoga, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new cultures.
