Kate Kirwan is from Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is excited to serve as the Protection Counselor with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees this year as a DCSC member. She recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where she studied anthropology and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys running, rock climbing, attempting to bake sourdough bread, and spending quality time with her close friends and family. She is excited to live in community and share meals with the members of Casa San Salvador this year.
