Missioners begin language school

Members of Mission Class 30 with flags representing the countries where they will be serving

As we celebrated the Baptism of the Lord this past Sunday, signifying Christ beginning his ministry, several of our 30th class of missioners have left for their respective countries this weekend to begin their own ministries. While Jesus went to the desert for 40 days and 40 nights to reflect and pray in preparation for His work, our missioners will be enrolled in language school for the next six weeks to better serve their communities by learning their language.

Our missioners have taken the next step in their dedication to service. We ask that you keep them and all of our missioners in your prayers as they follow in Jesus’ footsteps by preparing themselves spiritually and mentally to better serve their communities. We know they will make us all proud and, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, will leave a lasting impact with the lives they touch.

We prepare and support lay Catholics for two-year international, one-year domestic and 1-2 week short-term mission service opportunities in solidarity with impoverished and marginalized communities across the globe.
